Bob Trezise has been President and CEO of the Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP) for 12 years. LEAP is a regional economic development non-profit agency, made up of private and public sector leadership from throughout the Ingham, Eaton and Clinton county region (Greater Lansing).
Since 2011, LEAP projects have directly created $5.5 billion in private investment with over 10,000 direct jobs. LEAP also runs a nationally recognized Entrepreneurial and Diversity Division. LEAP works closely with critical institutions like LCC and MSU. LEAP has landed major Foreign Direct Investments like the $400 million Glanbia project and Atesteo, a manufacturer from Germany. LEAP’s biggest project was last year’s Ultium announcement, a $2.5 billion, 1,700 job electric car battery plant, now under construction. LEAP also played profound roles in the new downtown East Lansing and Michigan Avenue skylines.
